1. A multi-purpose microemulsion is recommended for all machining applications, suitable for most steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous alloys.

2. Semi-synthesis contains the highest lubricating composition, which is good for mechanical protection. It provides excellent extreme high-pressure characteristics for processing.
3. Extend tool and coolant's life.
4. Mild smell, acceptable by the operator.
5. Tramp oil can easily be scraped off because of its oil removal capability.

Method of application: 

1. Pour the oil into the water slowly, then stir it gently. Stainless steel: general processing concentration is between 6%-8%, and harsh processing is between 10%-12%

 Aluminum, copper alloy: the general processing concentration is between 4% -6%, the harsh processing is between 8% -10% 

2. Before using, please sterilize and remove the old cutting fluid, or use 1% diluent to recycle and remove it afterward. 

3. To maintain a stable use of liquid ratio, install an automatic mixing system to reduce the usage of cutting fluid. 

4. To ensure the stability and cooling of the cutting fluid, install an oil-water separator to periodically remove the tramp oil

Storage:

Storage temperature should not exceed 140°F; otherwise, may result in a color change of the original solution. However, the performance will not be affected.

Q1.What causes foaming? How can this be solved?


  • Some possible reasons are – low liquid level, deposition of iron chips, etc. The above could lead to poor fluidity and cause an increase in the contact area of cutting fluid and air which results in foaming

  • Add cutting fluid on a frequent basis. Please note the angle of the nozzle when applying it and avoid direct flushing at the right angles. This can reduce the chance of foaming.

Q2.What causes the odor in cutting fluid? How can this be improved?

  • The primary cause of the odor is a large number of bacteria in cutting fluid. We would suggest using clean water to blend with lubricants. This will prevent the bacteria from breeding and will increase lubricity.

  • The bacteria will be inhibited when the PH value is between 8.5 and 9.5. Thus, it is recommended to add new lubricants to maintain the right PH value. Apart from this, to extending the life of cutting fluid, we would suggest the use of a centrifugal water-oil separator or chip removal machine to remove tramp oil and sludge.

  • Our specialists would be pleased to visit the site and evaluate for remedy if needed.  If the issues remained unsolved, the cutting fluid in the sink will need to be replaced.



Q3..What is the cause of skin allergies? How can this be avoided?

  • Possible causes for skin allergies:
    1. The cutting fluid contains too much bacteria.
    2. PH value of cutting fluid is overly high.
    3. The personnel has sensitive skin or allergies.

  • It is recommended to wear gloves and a working suit during the operation process to avoid direct contact with cutting fluid. In addition, keep an eye on the PH value and add new lubricants as needed to prevent bacteria from breeding.


Q4.What is the proper way to mix/blend cutting fluid?

  • Slowly pour the oil into the water and blend evenly. Do not pour oil in first and add water for blending. The ratio for blending can be adjusted depending on the conditions.


Q5.What is the difference between oily and aqueous cutting fluid? How should the choice be made?

  • Lubricating oils:  Excellent lubricity; on the downside, poor heat dissipation may lead to heavy load, oil mist, or poor air quality in the facility.

  • Cutting fluid: Excellent cooling effect that smoothens workpiece processing and provides a better processing environment; on the downside, lower lubricity in comparison to lubricating oils.


Q6.How should the wastewater be treated?

  • Such wastewater contains numerous chemical substances and many potential contaminants which may harm public health and safety, thus, the sewage is usually sent to the waste-water treatment plant for treatment and purification.
